New Floating Service in Navan

Comments No Comments

Daisyhouse is set to start a new support service for single people who are at risk of homelessness in Navan.

The new service is being developed in partnership with Meath County Council. The Settlement Service of Meath County Council is very effective at finding accommodation for single homeless people, but there is no tenancy sustainment service in Navan for single people who have a history of homelessness or who are at risk of being homeless.

Daisyhouse will employ a support worker who will be based with the Settlement Service of Meath County Council.  The worker will offer visiting support to service users to ensure that they sustain their accommodation and link them in with specialist services where necessary. Funding for the new service is being made available through grants from Meath Local Homeless Forum, State Street Bank and St Stephens Green Trust, topped up with some local fundraising.
