Brian is in his twenties. He came to Daisyhouse in 2006. Brian became homeless in his teens and was sleeping rough for 3 years. He had a history of multiple drug use and his addiction had started at a young age. Relationships with family and friends had broken down. His physical health was poor and his mental health was threatened by his drug misuse.
Early in 2006, Brian linked with a drugs project and accessed drug detox and residential rehab. Later that year, he was referred to Daisyhouse’s temporary supported housing service.
Whilst at Daisyhouse he continued the process of recovery from his years of drug use. Family and personal relationships were strengthened and positive personal interests were developed. Brian was also helped in accessing training and then employment. Early in 2008, Brian moved on to long-term accommodation with Daisyhouse. He is now planning for further study and training to enhance existing skills and to provide long-term economic independence.
